Joslyn Joy Dyer was born in Maine in 1980.  What a great year to be born! She carries a B.F.A (Magna Cum Laude) from Georgia State University and an A.A.S. from Georgia Perimeter College. Her studies focused on ceramic techniques, sculptural forms and site specific installations and interventions. Joslyn recieved several awards, scholarships and assistanships including a two year assistanship at Callenwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, GA and Summer assistantships to international artists at Haystack Mountian School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine.  She has moved forward with her work and now uses not only ceramic materials but also other found objects and upcycled goods.  Most often her work reflects a socially conscience individual working in the turbulence of our modern world.  Occasionally she has been known to make beautiful things for fun.
